Terapeak Inc., a Delaware company, Terapeak (Canada) Inc., a Canadian company, Terapeak GmbH, a German company, and their affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively “Terapeak”) are committed to protecting the privacy of users of the website terapeak.com (the "Website") and our online products and services (the “Products and Services”) in accordance with the requirements of Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws.

We collect personal information from our users through their use of the Websites and the Products and Services. The collection of personal information is limited to information reasonably related to the provision of the Websites and the Products and Services. We receive the following personal information from Third Party Data Providers and Third Party Service Providers:

We do not collect or retain credit card numbers.
In order for users to use some aspects of the Websites or subscribe for the Products and Services, users must use unique identifiers such as a username and password. The username is the user’s email address. The password is chosen by the user and encrypted. We do collect passwords, which are recoverable.
We automatically track certain information based on the user's use of the Websites and the Products and Services. This includes:
- URL that the user came from (whether from the Websites or not)
- which URL the user goes to next (whether this URL is on the Websites or not)
- browser being used and platform type
- user's IP address and internet service provider
- date/time stamp
- number of clicks
We collect unsolicited information posted by users on the Websites including blog postings and communications between users, or sent to us by users in messages, such as emails or letters.
USE OF INFORMATION
We create user accounts to tailor the information displayed to each individual user and as applicable to the users.
We create a profile of our users that details their viewing preferences. This profile is used to tailor a user's visit to the Websites or use of the Products and Services and to direct pertinent marketing promotions to them. We do not share user profiles with third parties.
We use the information obtained through the tracking of our users activities to administer the Websites and Products and Services and generate statistics and aggregate reports, for internal use only, on our users demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand the users and our client base.
You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some Website features or Products and Services may not function properly without cookies.
We may post testimonials that include personal information on the Websites.
Any unsolicited personal information you submit to the blogs or discussion forum on the Websites can be read, collected, or used by other users of the blog, and may be used by such other users to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for any personal information you choose to submit in the blogs or discussion forums.
We license data sets that contain emails, names and physical addresses to third parties who use such personal information solely to match such licensed data sets with their own data sets. Agreements with such third parties restrict them from any other use of such personal information unless they obtain your consent to such other use.
We do not solicit or facilitate the solicitation by any third party of any users as a result of their affiliation or status as a member or user of a specific data set. We do not spam or otherwise send unsolicited communications to users that are not reasonably related to the Websites and/or the Products and Services.
We send all new subscribers to the Products and Services a welcoming email. Subscribers to the Products and Services occasionally receive information on our Products and Services and special deals.
We communicate with users to provide customer service in accordance with a user’s wishes.
We send service related announcements to users of the Websites and the Products and Services. For example, we may send you an email if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance.
We offer a periodic newsletter, which is provided free to subscribers who provide their name and email address.
From time to time we conduct surveys and contests, participation in which may require users to provide personal information.
SHARING OF INFORMATION
We may disclose personal information to a Court or public agency if legally required to do so such as to protect our rights and property, take emergency action regarding personal safety or where required by operation of law. When possible, we will advise you in the event that such action is necessary.
Sharing Of Personal Information With Third Parties
In the event that we go through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or the sale of some or all of our assets, personal information of our users will, in all likelihood, be part of the assets transferred.
