Terapeak University of Victoria Computer Science - Programmers Open house.

By Terapeak  on March 22, 2012

The Terapeak team wants to connect with UVic students to create a fun and challenging environment where students can expand their skills, work on challenging projects and sharpen their teeth on the world’s single largest e-commerce data set. Terapeak is a world leader in providing merchant business intelligence solutions and ecommerce analytics to online merchants. Terapeak analyzes data from 18 billion ecommerce transactions which represents $425 billion worth of online spending. Terapeak hopes that through cooperation with UVic students we can collaborate to uncover meaningful insight from the massive opportunity this data presents. Platforms, merchants, brands and marketing teams are just a few of the potential end consumers of the intelligence provided by Terapeak. Sifting through the vast data set to find the grains of actionable insight presents an enormous challenge and the Terapeak team wants the bright young minds at The University of Victoria to help innovate and challenge some of the conventional thinking surrounding ecommerce. Anthony Sukow, co-founder of Terapeak says “We have always appreciated the talent pool at the University of Victoria, and the world class computer scientists that it produces”. Come join us for pizza, pop, chips, and some stimulating conversation around massive data sets and ecommerce opportunities. The open house will take place on April 3rd, 2012 from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM at #102-3962 Borden Street adjacent to Sun Life Financial, and across from Reynolds High School.
